The Old Railway Bridge at Pensford Station

Here is a reminder of how quiet our village used to be in days gone by.

Philip Wallhead has kindly supplied these photographs of the old railway bridge that once crossed the A37, just south of Station Approach. The bridge itself is now long gone.

The view of Pensford Hill predates the existing housing development in Station Approach, which was constructed on the site of the former railway yard in 1987-1988.

These photographs have been added to our Pensford Rail History page for permanent reference. We appreciate receiving articles or photographs of historic interest and we are always happy to post such material to the Parish website to share with others.
