These four farm labourers’ cottages in Belluton Lane had no kitchens, no electricity and only one outside tap.
There were allotments to the rear (facing Belluton Lane) and an orchard at the front (facing Pensford).
The quiet lane which now passes alongside used to be the main Bristol/Wells road before the present A37 was built.
