MINUTES OF A PARISH COUNCIL MEETING OF PUBLOW WITH PENSFORD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 11th MARCH 2019 AT MEMORIAL HALL PUBLOW LANE PENSFORD

Present: Chairman: Mrs J Stephenson Vice Chairman: Mr T Heaford Mr J Kelly, Mrs J Gully, Mr J Kelly, Mrs T Jones, Mr Tony Jones, Mr S Grimes, Mr P Baxter.
There were six members of the public present.

1. Public Participation:

a) Mr S Harries – A37 Safety Works: Mr Harries did not attend the meeting.
Allotments: An allotment tenant attended the meeting seeking the Parish Councils Membership Number to the National Allotment Association. Clerk to provide this. Member of the Public reported that there is a boat and now a large shed on the allotment plot. Clerk explained the boat will be a planter eventually. The shed is not a concern. Parish Council Minutes – 12th November 2018

MINUTES OF A MEETING OF PUBLOW WITH PENSFORD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 12th NOVEMBER 2018 AT MEMORIAL HALL PUBLOW LANE PENSFORD

Present: Chairman: Mrs J Stephenson Vice-Chairman: Mr T Heaford
Mr J Kelly, Mr T Jones, Mrs Tracy Jones, Mrs J Gully, Mrs D Custance, Mrs S Grimes.
Clerk: Mrs J Bragg
There were ten members of the public present.

1. Members of the Public:

a) Mr D Lowe: An update was given on the Stones for the Parish. The faces have now been cut on the stones and they are due for collection soon. Suitable locations are still to be confirmed.
Mr Lowe is co-ordinating a Music Festival for the Village on 22nd June 2019 the profits from which will be split into 3 charities. Monies will be donated to the Memorial Hall to develop it and offer more amenities. Ideas so far are an all-weather Bowling Green and an Astro Turf Pitch. Parish Council welcomed the idea and suggested that the Hall Committee should also be consulted.
Cllr May committed to donate the Ward Councillors Personal Allowance next year towards a bowling green.
Member of public asked about the wall at the Memorial Hall. They were informed that Truespeed will be paying for the wall to be re-built in return for siting their exchange box in the car park.
Parking: Members of the Public raised concerns regarding parking around the Parish especially at the bottom of Wick Lane. Recently the Emergency Services had difficulty in accessing Church Street as a car blocked the road. No Parking Bays were suggested however Enforcement of these are a concern. Positioning planters in the space where a car would park and block the road was suggested. Extra signage was suggested. Parish Council Minutes – 8th October 2018

MINUTES OF A MEETING OF PUBLOW WITH PENSFORD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 8th OCTOBER 2018 AT MEMORIAL HALL PUBLOW LANE PENSFORD

Present: Chairman: Mrs J Stephenson Vice-Chairman: Mr T Heaford. Mr P Baxter, Mr S Filer, Mr J Kelly, Mrs T Jones, Mr M Daniels, Mrs S Grimes, Mr T Jones, Mrs D Custance, Mrs J Gully.

1. Members of the Public – Remembrance Sunday: Hot drinks will be available in the Church Room after the Remembrance Service. Muffled Church Bells will ring in the evening.

MINUTES OF A MEETING OF PUBLOW WITH PENSFORD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2018 AT MEMORIAL HALL PUBLOW LANE PENSFORD

Present: Chairman: Mrs J Stephenson Vice-Chair: Mr T Heaford Mrs Tracy Jones, Mr Tony Jones, Mrs S Grimes Mr P Baxter. Clerk: Mrs J Bragg
There were seven members of the public present.

1. Members of the Public – Mr D Lowe: The Parish Council Chairman presented Mr Lowe the Parish Councils Footpaths Officer with a Certificate of Recognition from the Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge. Mr Lowe had been nominated by the Parish Council for a community award for an outstanding contribution within the community.
Mr Lowe attended the meeting to seek the Parish Councils view on having stones put at the entrance to the Parish similar to the Millennium Stones in other Parishes. It was thought that Pensford did not have their own Stones because of restrictions on the A37. Clerk will take this up with Highways.
Private Land Owners will be asked for alternative locations should the A37 roadside not be allowed.
The Parish Council were happy to support this idea, also the possibility of planters or stone troughs.
The Parish Council were asked to support with some funding. Mr Lowe would be happy to help with the upkeep of the planters. Continue reading “Minutes – 10-09-18”

1. Members of the Public: Jane Flower – Mink in River: Concerns were raised regarding Mink destroying wildlife along the riverbank. The Environment Agency have been contacted.
Flood Anniversary: Details of the Accounts from the Flood Day had been received.

2. Apologies for Absence were received from Mrs J Gully and Mrs J Stephenson.
